Escaping the Past is Detroit producer Garrett Dillon's debut EP for Dystopian Rhythm. The title track is a peak-time stormer with delay-soaked chords. It's accompanied by a synth tool and a remix from Kansas City's Uun that takes it into dubbier territory. Broken One is broken-beat exercise in darkness, with a claustrophobic and heavy remix from New York's Craft. Finally, Knock ups the evil factor with growling synths that lend an atmosphere of dread.
